Dr. Joy Maxey , MD

  • Dr. Joy Maxey is President of Atlanta Children's Clinical Center, P.C.  A native Atlantan, Dr. Maxey graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, with General Honors and with Honors in Microbiology and the Medical College of Georgia with a Doctor of Medicine degree.  Dr. Maxey completed her internship and residency training in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the Emory University Affiliated Hospitals.  She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, the DeKalb Medical Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Greater Atlanta Pediatric Society. Dr. Maxey is a Past President of the Medical Association of Georgia and the Founder and Past President of Safe Kids of Georgia.  She is a former Chairman of the Children and Youth Coordinating Council and former member of the Office of the Child Advocate Advisory Committee.  Dr. Maxey has served and continues to serve in many capacities with a variety of volunteer, community service and professional organizations.
