Dr. Kucuk is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of:

  • cancer prevention – involved in multiple prevention trials including selenium in lung cancer prevention; lycopene, folic acid, zinc and soy in cancer prevention; zileuton in pre-malignancy in lung cancer
  • nutrition and cancer – including pioneering studies with lycopene and soy isoflavones
  • nutrition and cancer therapy- including sensitization of prostate cancer to docetaxel and radiation
  • prostate cancer prevention and treatment
